Whiteface Busted Booking Route
Whiteface sits in Cochran County. It is one of the county's two incorporated towns. The 2020 Census counted 375 residents, and its municipal status appears in the Texas Municipal League Whiteface profile. Those facts tell you where the town is. They do not mean it publishes arrest logs or photo collections. No verified Whiteface Police Department roster, blotter, or booking-photo feed could be located.
Start instead with the Cochran County Sheriff, plus the linked Cochran County Jail Report. A Whiteface booking may name the sheriff as the arresting agency. Or it may list a municipal officer, a state agency, or someone else. Copy that label exactly as shown. A city label does not guarantee the person was booked into the Cochran County Jail, and not every agency record sits with the jail.
Where Whiteface Busted Mugshots Appear
The county-linked roster is the only official booking channel found for Whiteface. It is not a town police feed. Tabs split it into current custody, a rolling 24-hour booking window, and arrest-date results. Image controls or photo slots may appear, though no Whiteface photo policy or county statement promises that every booking image is shown. Let official records lead any verification.
| Channel | Source type | Record question answered | Important limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Current Inmates | Sheriff-linked jail report | Whether someone is listed in current custody, with available fields | A person leaving this tab is not automatically cleared, released on a particular condition, or adjudicated. |
| 24 Hours Arrests | Sheriff-linked jail report | Recent bookings in a rolling window | It is not a permanent archive and does not promise immediate posting. |
| Inmates by Arrest Date | Sheriff-linked jail report | Records for a selected arrest-date range, if available | The public source does not state a maximum lookback or retention period. |
| Sheriff records email | Official county channel | Responsive booking, jail, or public photo records | Redactions and record-specific exceptions can apply. |
| Whiteface municipal police feed | No verified current public source | No verified roster, blotter, or photo channel | Confirm the city custodian before asking for a municipal incident record. |
County-labeled aggregator sites offer no verified Whiteface landing page or city filter. A copied city label can be wrong or incomplete. A missing label proves nothing either, since a resident may still have been booked. Treat any unofficial item as a lead worth checking, then compare it against the county source and the record custodian. No ongoing local news mugshot section was verified.
Note: The sheriff-linked roster is the live public booking source found, but its fields and any image slot can vary by record and source view.
Busted in Whiteface, Check the Roster
Pick your first tab based on when the booking likely happened. That respects the gap between a short recent-booking window and a full custody list. It also keeps a date-range result from being read as current status. For the wider county process, see the Cochran County booking records hub.
- For a recent event, open 24 Hours Arrests and record when it was checked. A blank display is a narrow result, not a conclusion about all Whiteface arrests.
- Search Current Inmates for someone who may still be held in Cochran County Jail.
- Use Inmates by Arrest Date after the recent window, selecting the best available range and noting that persistence is unstated.
- Compare the name with the date, arresting agency, sex, height or weight, booking identity, and court or cause number when available. Do not rely on appearance to match a person.
- Request a responsive record from the sheriff when the roster does not answer the precise question, and use a clerk for the final court result.
Roster entries can carry arrest date, agency, status, charges, bond, warrant details, and sometimes court information. What they will not settle is outcome. Release dates, dismissals, pleas, deferred disposition, probation, expunction, and nondisclosure results are not promised anywhere on the list. Bond and warrant fields are operational data, not verdicts. Keep the charge wording exactly as the source states it.
Whiteface Jail Record Requests
For a Whiteface-related booking, the Sheriff records channel is the first place to send a request. Name the person. Give an approximate date. Note the arresting agency if known. List the fields you want. A narrow ask might cover booking date and time, booking identity, listed charges or statutes, bond fields, release details if kept, and any public booking image. Request electronic copies and a cost estimate before any chargeable work begins. No photo-specific form, fixed fee, or stated response time was found.

Texas Municipal League profile, verify the current city custodian before requesting a municipal incident report.
Keep Whiteface CISD Police separate from town records. A school-police incident belongs with the school district or school agency, and only when that is the record at issue. Sharing the Whiteface name does not turn the school force into the municipal department. Nor does it make it custodian of a county jail booking.
Note: The official county contact governs the jail request, while the municipal profile is a route to confirm the current city records custodian.
Whiteface Booking Windows Are Not Archives
A rolling 24-hour display answers one question well: who was booked recently. It is not an archive. The current-inmate tab covers a different question, whether someone sits in custody right now. After that window closes, the arrest-date view becomes the next official path, assuming the vendor still returns the range. Treat the sequence carefully. A missing current result never proves an arrest did not happen.
Cochran County publishes no stated update schedule. There is no maximum lookback range and no image-retention policy for its online tools. The same gap applies to Whiteface. A photo field might be filled, blank, delayed, withheld, or simply unavailable on a given screen. Rather than guessing at a countywide practice from one result, ask the sheriff about the specific booking record you need.
Fields shift between tabs and individual entries. A record can show status, sex, height, weight, a redacted address, arrest date, days in jail, arresting agency, total bond, warrant number, charge details, and occasionally court information. Not every result carries all of them. If a field is empty, leave it empty in any request note. Never fill the gap with data from a similarly named person or a neighboring county, since a Levelland court address alone does not place an arrest in Hockley County.
Someone released from custody may drop off the current listing while a date-based record stays searchable, if the vendor retains it. For custody at the state level, use the Texas Department of Criminal Justice inmate search. That is a separate question. The tool is a state one, not a Whiteface or Cochran County booking archive.
Whiteface Court Record Verification
A jail roster can locate an arrest. It cannot tell you how a case ended. Cochran County offers no single verified public portal for criminal name searches. Start with the Cochran County Clerk, bringing the court, cause number, offense date, and name if you have them. The office sits in Room 102 at 100 N Main Street in Morton, reachable at 806-266-5450. Lower-level files sometimes belong with a justice or municipal court instead.
District-level matters may fall to the Cochran County District Clerk and the 286th District Court, which the official directory places in Levelland. That location does not move a Whiteface arrest into a neighboring county. It simply points you toward the court that may hold the file.
Request a court-specific search, docket, or final disposition from the clerk rather than treating an arrest-date result as a case outcome. If nothing turns up, keep the written response along with the court and dates searched. That documentation beats simply claiming no case ever existed.
Whiteface Busted News Is Not Live
The local newspaper lead is a history resource, not a live police feed. The Morton Tribune collection at Texas Tech preserves old issues. Those pages can yield a dated agency name, a notice, or a court clue. There is no current Whiteface arrest log in it. No standing mugshot section exists either. For present-day questions, return to the county roster or contact the sheriff or clerk.
The Whiteface municipal profile documents the town's incorporated status and lists its official contact information.
That profile adds town context and nothing more. It is not a law-enforcement roster, sets no photo policy, and cannot substitute for an official jail record.
Old news coverage can steer you toward a date or an agency. It should never settle a custody or disposition question. County-wide archive limits and record checks are covered in Arrest News.
